Getting Started

Updated: Dec 3, 2021

It has been in my heart for some time to share all that God is doing in our lives. To be open, honest and welcome you on this path, this journey that God has placed us on. So often I tend to shy away from this because the ear of my heart bends so easily to that which would want to discourage or hinder my sharing. The voice that says "why would you think anything you have to say would matter?" That side that prefers to speak ugly to my inmost being, I know I am not alone in this internal discussion, I believe many are too tuned into this voice of negativity. This blog is a conscience choice in putting that part in its place. This is me, taking another step down the path of obedience. This narrow path that has beauty beyond belief. Peace that passes all understanding. And on occasion it seems rather treacherous with his cliffs and rocks where stumbling becomes ominous. Yet the path of obedience is the only one I care to walk on these days. I have traveled both and can firmly declare being a follower of Christ Jesus is the only way to go.

How did I come up with the title to this blog... Dream - Believe - Follow? God gave me a dream (see "The dream comes to life" blog) from that I was ask to believe, and most arduously obey or follow His calling.. His voice... and His direction. From this, miracles happen. From the simple, and sometime not so simple obedience, great things happen. I invite you on this journey with me. My intention is to share in all the ups and downs of our life in rural West Virginia. My wonderful husband Ed often called Jamie to family and old friends, our most wonderful dog Molly Moo and almost antique cat Princess Peach. We find ourselves back in Ed's hometown where his roots run deep (there's a story waiting to be written). I know so very often when sharing information on other social media its easy to share the pretty, the uplifting, the joys of life. This blog will also dive into the sad, the lonely and sometimes even the despair of those heart-wrenching moments in life.

As I take steps down this pathway of sharing of my heart and experience, I look forward to hearing from you and your journey. We become stronger when we share and experience each others joys and difficulties.

"If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, My servant will be as well. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him." John 12:26
